Manta's Large Capacity DPI is a low cost disposable single dose that is configured to deliver large payloads of neat drug or blended API formulations. The efficient dispersion engine can deliver up to 25mg of respirable particles and retains larger agglomerates that contribute to problematic throat deposition in large dose applications. The device is small, easy to use and suited for a wide variety of applications including antibiotics and vaccines.
Our DPI integrates a toroidal dispersion chamber with an internal array of air inlets that circulate the dose on the outer dose chamber walls. Centrifugal force and crossing air flow prevent larger particles from leaving the dose chamber where they continue to circulate and break down.
This low cost device is comprised of injection molded parts and can be configured as a disposable or re-loadable inhaler. The DPI is designed for standard manufacturing and filling processes and integrates a foil blister for premium environmental protection. This DPI provides the following:
